Sue Hageman

President of Business Development & Sales

Sue Hageman joined Harbor Link’s executive leadership team as President of Business Development and Sales in 2023. Sue brings over three decades of experience in the telecommunications industry, focused primarily on regional and national facility-based carriers. She has a strong background with an emphasis in sales, marketing, business development, network expansions, account, and sales development, working with a vast array of companies bringing fiber connectivity solutions into the various commercial buildings and data centers throughout the region.

Prior to joining Harbor Link, Sue most recently served as the Executive Director of Sales for Assured Communications Advisors, where she brought her wealth of knowledge to complement the critical network needs of facility-based fiber for subsea cable networks to connect to terrestrial networks. In 2018, Sue partnered with two other industry leaders to start Tenebris Fiber, where she served as CEO until 2022.

Sue’s long standing career with facility-based carriers began in 1990. In the years since, she has brought significant impact, and sales growth to several different executive level roles. In 1993 she joined MFS, where her industry experience and knowledge flourished. After her time with MFS ended with their acquisition by WorldCom, she joined Looking Glass Networks as their Director of Sales, where she facilitated the sales of the company’s largest dark fiber networks. After the acquisition of Looking Glass by Level3, Sue joined FiberGate as their VP of Sales & Marketing, where her tenure had the largest impact for a small, regional dark fiber provider. Her variety and volume of sales more than doubled the network miles and tripled the volume of buildings added over her five short years. In that time, Sue took a government-focused entity and diversified its account base to include a balance of carriers, large enterprise companies, all while continuing to expand the government footprint. With the resulting expansion of their fiber footprint, customers and buildings, the company’s annualized revenue grew over 400%, at the time of their subsequent acquisition by Zayo.

Sue lives in Northern Virginia and in her spare time she is golfing or enjoying life on the Chesapeake Bay.
